ARTIFACT: This is an extremely rare World War I US Air Service 825th Squadron badge. The badge was made in France from enameled silver. It has an eagle holding a clock in its talons. The clock has roman numerals on it and it appears to read the time 8:25, signifying the 825th Squadron this belongs to.

VINTAGE: Circa WWI

SIZE: Size: 1-1/4" x 3/4

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Enameled Silver

ATTACHMENT: Diagonal pin with over-under catch

MARKINGS: "I. II. III. IV. V. VI. VII. VIII. IX. X. XI. XII."

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The enamel is damaged on the left wing. The patina on the reverse is wonderful.
